Meeting Notes and Action Points:

This session I discussed my progress and shared images I have taken since my last meeting. These are of initial ideas whilst in locations where I can scout the area, see the environment and experiment with ideas around the landscape, place its history and my presence there.

This led to discussions on how I could incorporate my spine condition into the work, as mentioned in my proposal that walking is the main source of therapy for me. This also linked to my current images where I have photographed curving paths and could this lead to a symbolic representation of my spine? And what does walking do for me? There is an idea to research the word ‘Occulta’ in regards to my spine, could I use this alongside or inspired by maps? This discussion sparked inspiration as I realise that I was already exploring this idea, it also linked with my previous WIP ‘Fragile’ where I explored physical representations of the spine and body in nature.

We discussed practitioners for me to look into to expand ideas going forward. My next steps are to explore the link between me, the landscape and my condition to and narrow down the theme further.
