Although I had planned the presentation in the couple of weeks beforehand, I did struggle while recording and I did not feel I had recorded my audio well enough or clear enough, due to time restraints and health I decided to share what I had recorded, which did not sound too bad, but I was aware I could do better. I was really pleased to see that the feedback I received was positive and in all my intent was well understood and commented as having a strong introduction by my tutor to allow the audience to understand my project’s focus with one recommendation that I expand on this or make it a bit stronger at the start, something I will consider.

Some of the feedback received related to the work I discussed that I had felt did not work as well or not how I intended, although I spoke about this briefly in the presentation, some of my peers suggested that they would like to know more about those choices I made, that I felt did not work and that I could expand on these within my written assignment (Critical Review of Practice). I agree with this feedback, I did feel I could have discussed these more in the presentation and gone I to more detail, something I will expand upon within my assignment to cover learning outcome LO5.

The style of my work was also commented on and links could be seen between my ‘human choices’ and editing style with my intent, my colour choices, dark backgrounds and high contrast be linked to my intent also, and how fragility is portrayed within the leaf skeletons and the human body. My contextualisation came across as good with good citations and other work from practitioners, such as that of Alicja Brodowicz, and the use of the similarities of the structure in nature and the human body, with questions of if I would pursue something similar to bring out the context more within my work. Again, I am unsure at this moment in time, but it is an avenue for me to explore going forward and possibility into the next module, as I do not want the metaphorical element to be too obvious within my work and something the audience will be encouraged to find themselves and even create their own relationship with the work.

My tutor commented that they could see my work as a book rather than in a gallery, this is something I will continue to explore as I have started and see what designs or context, I can portray my intent/idea in successfully.

Judging by the feedback I feel I met, LO1 with my technical and visual skills, LO3 with the contextualisation of my work, LO4 I touch upon when discussing the possibility of exhibiting in a gallery and or a book, again this needs further exploration, LO5 with critical analysis of my work, but may need to develop more of this, and LO6 presenting my work clearly as best I could and explaining my intent and practice in a audio and visual format. Within my written piece, I will expand on these points further, as it is still in progress and I still have work to create and experiment with.
