Redacting Text
One of the weekly activities set within this module, was to redact all text from a magazine that I would not normally buy or read. As I have not bought a magazine that was not photography based for many years, I found it hard to pick one. What I did fins was an old supermarket magazine from ASDA in February 2020.
The act of redacting all the text at first seemed daunting and time consuming. It took me a few days to complete but as the days passed, I found it quite a relaxing activity to do after work. The methods of redaction changed each day, from blacking out, cross hatching and single lines, which altered the appearance of each page depending on the content.

Adding Own Images to Magazine
The next stage was to insert my own images into pages of the magazine, considering the layouts, other existing images, and text. I found this quite interesting to do and again enjoyable. I used simple scissors and Pritt Stick glue, which has 90% natural ingredients and recyclable.
To start the process, I printed out all my images so far and cut them to size, the in turn went through the magazine selecting pages where I felt the images would work best. Below is a video of the process and shots of the final images within the magazine.
