My starting point for the FMP has been to pick up where my previous work 'By The Sea' was based. On the Thanet coast.

The challenge I have by doing this, is how do I differentiate and develop from that project, so I do not repeat myself? Firstly I focused on the traces left by others who had taken walks along those beaches before me. Leaving evidence of their presence behind them in the form of footprints.

By focusing on the footprints, I hoped to capture a sense of time, trace and place. recording evidence of us and me I the environment and the impact left form us being there. while this idea has been a good starting point, I am reminded that I need to remember why I am focusing on walking itself and my relationship with it. I feel that these images do not quite meet the intent I am aiming for, so my next step is to develop further by looing at the locations I choose closely and why, and a connection with the history of the area.
